Dr Olumide Odeyemi is a multi-skilled research support specialist and researcher with extensive experience supporting research grant applications submitted to various national and international funding schemes, and funding bodies. His specialties include researcher development, research impact and engagement, working with industry, research grants development, costing and pricing research projects, and identifying funding opportunities. He is a recipient of multi-internationally competitive scholarships, grants and awards valued at over $250,000.
As a research support specialist, he has provided research support services towards over 250 grant applications budgeted at over $300 million research funding grants submitted to over 150 funding bodies. In the past three years, he has trained more than 2000 students and academics on academic skills, research skills, researcher development, and how to secure scholarships and grants. He is a recipient of Research Funding Team Due Diligence Award (2021), co-recipient Vice Chancellor’s Service Excellence Award and Research Division’s Service Excellence Award (2021), 2022 Tanner Award Tanner Award for being the second-most-cited journal article.
He is a well accomplished multidisciplinary researcher, with over sixty (60) scientific publications. He has collaborated with over 64 co-authors from Oceania, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. He was recently (2021 and 2022) listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in microbiology and food science. As a researcher with over 15 years multidisciplinary research experience across health, natural, life and social sciences, he has published over 60 scientific articles (57% as first author and 68% as the corresponding author) with over 1400 citations and h-index of 16 based on Scopus-cited publications with an average of 16 citations per article. Based on Field-Weighted Citation Impact, He is currently performing 120% above the world average in his area of specialisation. Twenty-five percent of his articles were published in the top 10 % most cited worldwide journals and 12% in the top 10% journals.
